The same is true for Chiropractic care. Unfortunately, most people get their first subluxations very early in life (infancy and childhood) and don’t actively take care of their spine and nervous system until later on, if at all. When I hear people say after one adjustment, that “chiropractic doesn’t work” it reminds me of kids going on a trip and asking “are we there yet” after 5 minutes. Also, what does chiropractic “working” really mean?
The objective of chiropractic is to remove vertebral subluxations to allow for a greater expression of the body’s life force or inborn wisdom. The objective is not to treat pain, symptoms or conditions. While I cannot say how someone’s symptoms or conditions will respond since there may be several contributing factors (age, limitations of matter, other lifestyle choices), I can always say with confidence that the body works better subluxation free. It makes the most sense to incorporate Chiropractic as a lifestyle choice as early as possible in life, throughout life.
